Mae’n ddrwg gennym – rydym ar gau dros dro
Diolch am gefnogi ein busnes. O ganlyniad i’r achosion COVID-19 presennol rydym wedi gwneud y penderfyniad mwyaf anodd y gallem ei wneud, sef cau’r busnes hwn. Gweithred dros dro yw hon, a ni wnaed y penderfyniad hwn yn ysgafn, ond fe’i gwnaed er mwyn diogelu ein tîm, ein gwesteion ac ein cyfranddalwyr.
Diolch unwaith eto am eich cefnogaeth yn y gorffenol. Cadwch mewn cysylltiad trwy ein tudalen Facebook a ni allwn aros i ddathlu gyda chi pan fyddwn yn ailagor!!
Cadwch yn ddiogel ac yn iach, gofalwch dros eich anwyliaid a diolch eto am eich teyrngarwch yn y gorffennol.

Y MOCHYN DU (The Black Pig)
English Style Ale - Session Bitter
Traditional, Caramel, Bitter In tribute to the Pub’s original name The Black Pig ‘Y Mochyn Du’ – named after a popular (albeit slightly irreverent!) traditional nineteenth century folk song from West Wales – The Ballad of ‘Y Mochyn Du’
Stout & Porter - Oatmeal Stout
Black, Smooth, Chocolate Before being rebranded as Cardiff Bay, the local name for the docks was Tiger Bay and in tribute to the millions of tonnes of coal that passed through these notorious docks between mid 19th and early 20th Century, establishing Cardiff as one of the world’s most important docks, we have brewed a dark, yet spicy and interesting stout
English Style Ale - Golden Ale
Golden, Hoppy, Refreshing All three Welsh Sporting heroes Sam Warburton OBE (Wales Rugby Flanker known as one of the best outside Flankers in the world), Gareth Bale (Real Madrid & Welsh International Player – too many titles to record but named Welsh Footballer of the Year 6 times!) and Geraint Thomas MBE (professional cyclist – world champion, Olympic Medal & Tour de France winner) were all pupils at Whitchurch High School Cardiff.
American Style Ale - Amber Ale
Ruby, Hoppy, Caramel Created in tribute to the internationally famous post war Actor and Composer Ivor Novello, born in Cardiff, who showed his talent at a very young age and became a seren (star) of the revered Welsh Eisteddfod
IPA - Traditional IPA
Bitter, Citrusy, Hoppy In 1905 Cardiff was due to play New Zealand at home when the All Blacks first performed the Haka in an attempt to intimidate the Welsh team, to which they spontaneously responded by singing their national anthem. The crowd joined in and a tradition was started and to this day at every International Rugby match it begins with singing the national anthem…
American Style Ale - American Pale
Malty, Aromatic,Hoppy Enjoy a pint of this simple Pale Ale with truck loads of piney, grapefruity American hops and raise a refreshing glass to our American cousins – you could almost believe you were in a brewpub in Cardiff, Colorado, USA!
Lager - Craft Lager
Refreshing, Aromatic, Citrusy It is said that the use of Cascade hops is how legendary brews are made and with the amount of finest English-grown Cascade hops in every boil, this lager is sure to be legendary.
Belgian Style Ale - Saison
Aromatic, Fruity, Yeasty Having integrity and being persistent is said to be two of the defining qualities of great reporters, but perhaps we should add ‘hailing from Cardiff’ to the list….as it seems a great number of famous reporters were born here; John Humphreys and Jeremy Bowen to name but two….
IPA - Tropical IPA
Hazy, Citrusy, Hoppy In tribute to Terry Nation, Television writer and novelist, remembered for introducing (or terrifying school children of 1960’s and ‘70s) the good people of Britain to the Daleks in Dr Who, TV dramas Survivors and Blake’s 7
IPA - Black IPA
Black, Hoppy, Bitter In tribute to Roald Dahl, born in Cardiff in 1916, celebrated as one of Britain’s best authors following a career in the RAF. Now a household name for most, for his children’s books such as Matilda, George’s Marvelous Medicine, and critically acclaimed short stories ‘Tales of the Unexpected’
Wheat Beer - Witbier
Cloudy, Refreshing, Citrusy Can you believe the same chwiban (whistle) is used to kick off the opening game of every Rugby World Cup tournament! Named the Gil Evans whistle due to it being first blown by Gil, the Welsh referee overseeing a match between England and New Zealand in 1905
